Intracranial tumors in the COVID-19 era: how the pandemic has changed patient management

A prospective study in the UK has provided new insights into how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the management of patients with intracranial tumors.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly affected cancer services,” according to Dr Daniel Fountain of the University of Manchester in Manchester, UK. “Our objective was to determine the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on decision making and the resulting outcomes for patients with newly diagnosed or recurrent intracranial tumors.”
